We Are Helping Orphans Worldwide

There are children who have fallen through the cracks of humanity… children who do not fit into the “categories” of those being helped by worldwide organizations.  Thousands of innocent children across the world who are abandoned and neglected, living in orphanages with meager resources.

It is these forgotten children that HOW searches for. It is these orphans that we help.

Founded in 2007, Helping Orphans Worldwide (HOW), is a non-profit organization committed to providing hope, health and security to abused, abandoned and neglected children living in deprived areas of the world. Our work has so far taken us to southeast Asia, specifically Vietnam and the Philippines where we work to improve the lives of needy children by using a hands-on, grass roots approach to affect positive change.

HOW works directly with existing non-profit organizations within each community to provide immediate and long-term assistance to defend, protect and rehabilitate these children.  HOW’s goal is to assist in and develop long-term, self-sustaining programs that will have a positive and lasting impact on those once abandoned.  We support the initiatives of best practice charities through funding and collaborative projects, while providing direct support to selected organizations through our Volunteer Immersion Programs.

THE STARFISH STORY

HOW believes that we CAN make a difference in this world one child at a time…. every child’s life is worth something!  This story is the inspiration behind HOW’s “Starfish Children” program.  It is at the root of who we are and it strengthens our belief that we must fight for those that cannot fight for themselves!
